KTU Pass Mark: APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University as KTU is a State Government University if offers various UG and PG courses under popular streams such as BTech, BArch, BHMCT, MTech, M.Arch, MBA, and MCA. Now, KTU also provides B.Tech Honours as well as Minor programs in addition to regular courses. For these courses they set some pass mark for the student, for those who get their given pass mark they only be qualified for the semester examination.

  • End Semester Exam- 100

KTU Minimum Pass Marks for Practical Subjects

  • Records / Output- 60
  • Regular Class Viva- 10
  • Final Test / Quiz- 30
  • Total Internal Marks- 100
  • No University Exam

If any students who missed either first test or second test can register for retest, the retest will be soon after the second test and cover portions of both tests. Those who miss both these tests they will not be eligible to appear for end semester examination.

APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University Pass Mark Eligibility

  • Minimum 75% Attendance in each subject
  • Minimum 45 % internal marks for each course
  • Student Should have minimum of 45% marks in the end Semester Examination, Otherwise grade will be F.
  • F means Fail.
  • Students who got an F grade in any course in the regular semester can appear for the supplementary examinations in that course.
  • Usually, the supplementary exam will be conducted in the month of May/ June.

KTU Exam Pass Mark

  • Generally, the KTU follows 10-point grade scale system to calculate pass mark out of 70.
  • SGPA and CGPA are calculated as the weighted average of grade point multiplied by the credits for the courses.
  • The KTU has given the formula to convert SGPA/CGPA to % marks.
  • The Percentage Marks (% Marks) = 10xG – 3.75, Where G is SGPA or CGPA.

A+ (Excellent) 9 85% and above but less than 90%

C (Average) 6 50% and above but less than 60%
P (Pass) 5 45% and above but less than 50%
F (Fail) 0 Less than 45%
FE 0 Failed due to eligibility criteria
